Valknerei Museum (External website): Monument of the last falcon capturing which shows Valkener Mollen. Made by Porceleyne Fles in Delft as a gift for the Townhall of Valkenswaard in 1928. Valkenswaard was very import in the 16th century for capturing and train falcons. This was while the peregrine falcon migrated over the swamps of this area. Many kingdoms used the services of the valkners from Valkenswaard. |
